The challenge
After a decade of growth, Tessel's visual identity no longer reflected the calm, precise buildings the studio was known for. Proposals, signage and the website all looked like they came from different firms.
The approach
I built the identity from a single modular tile inspired by the studio's floor plans. The tile scales from a favicon to a building hoarding, and a tight typographic system keeps proposals and drawings consistent across every office.
The outcome
The new identity rolled out across three offices in 2024. The team now produces proposals in half the time, and Tessel won two of its first three competitions under the new brand.
