The challenge
Fernway's planner had grown one feature at a time until building a three-city trip took more than forty taps. Travelers were abandoning itineraries halfway through, and the support team spent most of its week untangling bookings.
The approach
We interviewed twenty frequent travelers and mapped every step of how they plan, then rebuilt the experience around one editable timeline. I prototyped the new flow in code so we could test real drag-and-drop interactions with customers within the first three weeks.
The outcome
The new planner launched in spring 2026. Building a multi-stop trip now takes under a minute, completed itineraries rose by 34 percent, and booking-related support requests dropped by half.
